that pushes the old rocker
where she should’ve been
The strapping line of shoes ranked
along the hall floor
lack the pair she always laid
closest to the door
Her magical garden has shriveled
to dry fall weeds
After all the long hours
she spent on her knees
Dust hazily lines her whicker basket,
still kept safe on its shelf
her colorful yarn and rustic needles
unfit for the hands of anyone else
Only these items foresaid remain
The memory of what once was
thought on in vain
Only her embrace, her voice we long for
When we can only wait
for the Glory Day evermore
~This day centers around one thing - 'celebration'. We celebrate the birth of America's freedom, as well as the individual freedoms we're allowed to enjoy. This hits home for some more then it does others; the flags, the fireworks, the barbecues, the whole theme is embraced in the hues of the red, white, and blue.
Now imagine that feeling, that burst of pride, amplified for every day into eternity. I imagine such a complete realization of freedom is what it's like when we're called home to Heaven. It's an eternity with our Father! Never crying, never fearing, never doubting ourselves again! Being secure and confident for the rest of our days, which will be never ending!
There's a celebration! One that God is eager to share with you. And because of His sacrifice of His son Jesus, we can. If we believe and trust in Him during our time here, then we will be in jubilee with Him during our time in Heaven.~
Happy 4th of July! Remember the roots of this great country, and to thank our veterans for their sacrifices. Our country can continue its celebrating because of the courage God has place in them.
